Eyebrows, The Fat And Skinny Of Brows

Its time to talk about your EYEBROWS. There are so many option these days for eyebrows. Shape? Makeup Pencil? Tattoo? Growth Serum? Natural? Tinting?

Seriously, I could talk about eyebrows all day! Let’s break it down to just the basics.

Shape

Your natural shape is almost always the best.

For me, after over plucking in middle and high school, I lost the TOP part of my brow, the “corner” of it. So I basically fill that in for my shape.

Keep your eyebrows to their basic shape and don’t over pluck!

Makeup

My favorite Summer brow makeup is actually a pencil, Jane Iredale Brown liner applied with a small angled brow brush. This color is on the warmer side of brown.

In the Winter, I use the Elf Ash Eyebrow cream with an angled brush!

A new product I discovered this year is by Glossier called Boy Brow. It is basically a clear or brow colored gel that seals your brows in place without them looking shiny or crunchy.

Tattoo

Most of you know I’ve had my eyebrows tattooed for several years now. I’ve had microbladed and powder brows. I’m a huge fan of BOTH.

I will confess, however, I always put makeup on my brows when I go anywhere. At home, when I don’t wear makeup and they are natural, I still actually have eyebrows.

Totally worth the price tag for microblading! It’s super simple because you don’t have to put effort into the SHAPE because its already there.

I assure you, it might be a tattoo, but it is a painless procedure because they numb you ahead of time! To reach perfect results it usually takes 2 appointments, booked 6 weeks apart.

Brow Growth

As you read from my daily skincare post, I LOVE castor oil for my brows and lashes. It is a natural product that enhances growth and strength.

There are several other chemically derived growth products. One that I totally love and sell at Third Floor Salon is called Revitalash! Their lash growth is the same as their brow growth serum, just a different applicator. Often we have special Kits available with a free product inside!
