Why I Love Instagram & Pinterest for All Things Hair

Instagram and Pinterest are essential for Hairstylists these days. I know some of you come to your hair appointment with me without a photo and we just talk through your cut or color. That WORKS for some of you.

However, there is a glitch. I know a lot of you have seen a photo of hair and thought, “Wow, I love that! I wish I could have that color and cut!” Then you scroll onward and never tell your hairdresser about it!

You can and should be using hair photos you like to verbalize what you want when you visit your hairstylist! We have said goodbye to the days of “just bangs” or “just color.” There’s no such thing most of the time!

The possibilities for a different hairstyle or hair color are endless. At the tip of your fingers you can find pictures of exactly what you want your hairstylist to do for you.

I’m not suggesting you rip magazine pages out of doctor and dentist offices! There is a really easy way to find pictures to show your hairstylist. Find them on Instagram and Pinterest!

Pinterest, like Instagram, can totally suck you in for hours! There are so many interesting pictures of everything. All you have to do is type in the search bar for whatever you’re looking for like “hair” or “hairstyles” and ta-da!
